Glenariff Forest Park is five minutes up the glen, and Laragh Lodge — a restaurant and bar beside the waterfall — is a two-minute drive. From the door it's thirty minutes to Ballycastle and the Rathlin ferry, thirty-five to the Dark Hedges, forty to Carrick-a-Rede and fifty to the Giant's Causeway. Belfast International Airport is forty-five minutes away, so the whole Causeway Coast sits comfortably inside an hour of the house. Cushendall has the shops, pubs and cafes. Within the same hour are Cushendun village and its caves, the Torr Head scenic route, Glenarm Castle and Walled Garden, Ballintoy Harbour, Kinbane Castle, Dunluce Castle, White Park Bay, Old Bushmills Distillery, and Mussenden Temple at Downhill Demesne.
Golf in the Glens and on the coast
Eight golf courses sit inside an hour and a quarter of the door — from a nine-hole in the next village to Royal Portrush, which has hosted The Open twice. Cushendall is nine holes of parkland in the next village. Ballycastle and Gracehill are eighteen, and Galgorm Castle is championship parkland at Ballymena. On the links there is Bushfoot at Portballintrae, Portstewart, and Castlerock.
