Inside and out — a hand-crafted house in Glenariff

An upside-down house, carved into the hillside so the living space sits at the top with the full aspect of the glen. Open-plan living, dining and kitchen upstairs opening onto a large balcony, with the bedrooms below, each with French doors onto the deck.

Three bedrooms sleeping five, two of them super-king, plus a single room upstairs that doubles as an office with fast broadband. Two and a half bathrooms, private parking, and a large outdoor space for sitting out and cooking. The interior is our own — designed and hand-crafted rather than bought in, shaped by two decades in film and television. The photographs are the house as it is.
